  1. Interesting, a partial copy of my web site still resides at www.geocities.ws. I can easily generate the sitemap.xml file. This implies that the free web hosting at byethost and hostree restrict ability to crawl to identify the htm files?
  2. Same problem for copy of my sites on hostfree.pw. I had to take copies of my sitemaps.xml from defunct Google web hosting, and edit the files for the URL. But cannot generate a good sitemap.xml for a new web site. So I've done this before many times, but not since moving the site to byethost or hostfree. I've tried many sitemap generators, and all fail. What's the difference now?
  3. I used https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ to try generating the sitemap.xml . Only the top level html file is listed. On the other hand, a nearly identical web site located elsewhere on the web, and using the same xml-sitemaps online tool does generate the complete sitemap.xml file Does byethost32.com restrict the sitemap generator from drilling down to capture all the linked html files? Is there a Control Panel switch that needs be reset?
  4. I'm having difficulty creating the sitemap.xml file for my byethost web site. Only the top-level html file is listed in the resultant sitemap.xml. I had success previously, but on GoogleDrive -- prior to its demise. Is there a particular free online sitemap generator, that will drill down to related links, and subfolders?
