Inodes mean no. of files/folders you have hosted on your account. So, removing inodes means removing files/folders from your account. If there are any useless files on the software you are using, you can delete them. Otherwise I don't think you can do anything else.

Infinityfree is already doing that. On infinityfree 3 active accounts are allowed means if you have 3 account and 1 of them is suspended, you can create 1 more account but after you create another account, you cannot reactivate previous account.

You can use Softaculous from your cpanel to install prestashop. It is htdocs in free hosting If you are maybe you are uploading files more that 10mb on your website. Please note that you can't upload a file that is more than 10mb on free hosting.

Ssl certificate cannot be generated from cpanel on free hosting. You need to generate it elsewhere like gogetssl and then upload it in cpanel. -

No you don't have to put anything in install directory. That's the reason your website had to go to /htdocs directory but now as I can see you have solved the problem.
