TinkerMan
Never used ByteHost, so can’t participate Unless we are grouping MOFH in with this, then I can

TinkerMan
Thought you meant premium (cPanel) reseller plans.  1. What do you like the most about ByetHost? Its free, and actually provides pretty good resources 2. What don’t you like about ByetHost? API is a little limiting (Having support to add/remove domain and databases would be nice) 3. If you could change one thing about ByetHost, what would it be? The API 4. What’s one thing you wouldn’t want to change about ByetHost? Pricing, current limits & ease of use 5. How easy was it for you to set up your website on ByetHost? Not very easy. The default experience is really bad from a UI/UX perspective, and even from a brand perspective. Took quite a bit of time (I think 2 years) to get a working client area setup. 6. Have you ever considered upgrading to iFastNet's premium hosting? Why or why not? I have considered it, but have ultimately decided not to. There are no features that I am aware of that make it better than other hosts, and the support experience I’ve had as a reseller could be improved upon. I’m also not a fan of WHMCS (especially vanilla installs) and try to avoid it. 7. Do you use the Byet.net forum for support and community? I think this question is a bit biased since it’s on the forum, but yes. 8. Any other suggestions or feedback? Improving the API is the major suggestion I have (And I would be happy to help do so).  Another is improving the suspension experience. It would be nice to be able to customize the suspension page (Even if linking to iFN is a requirement, that’s fine), and have better organization of how the callbacks are sent (there is no consistency, and stuff seems missing. Introducing a v2 callback would be nice. Again, happy to help). Being able to have more control over what accounts are suspended / unsuspended (Like being able to communicate SPAM_COMPLAINT or PHISHING over the API so if the user creates a support ticket staff know not to reactivate it.
auburncorvus
I have one suggestion for the whole iFast group of sites: create a WhatsApp direct line to a real person. It’s super helpful to speak with someone in real time and maybe, just maybe, even hear a voice. Keep the forums and everything else, but for real—a direct line would be a game changer for everyone. No AI WhatsApp bots.
BastelPichi
Support is usually pretty quick, and WhatsApp doesnt integrate so nicely necesarely when you have large amount of customers contacting you.
auburncorvus
I both agree and disagree here. I’m currently in a situation with a brand-new site I’m trying to create and launch on MOFH, and since I’m not a coder or developer, I need assistance. So, I type out a question, and MOFH redirects me to Byet, where I’m getting guidance from someone who isn’t even a staff member (no offense). It’s now 1:23 a.m. on Sunday morning, and I’m still trying to figure out how to change my front page—a task I’ve been struggling with since Friday. One phone call could likely solve this, and honestly, I’d probably only need to call once a year. While cost-effective solutions are great, they shouldn’t come at the expense of productivity. I understand that "Rome wasn’t built in a day," but after a decade, I’d think there would be clear documentation to help us navigate these platforms. Could someone point me to any comprehensive tutorials or guides on using the MOFH platform specifically for setting up a new site (white label, reseller, free hosting)? I’m particularly unfamiliar with cPanel and VistaPanel, which have been customized for this platform, so any in-depth resources would be appreciated. I’m particularly unfamiliar with cPanel and VistaPanel, which have been customized for this platform, so any in-depth resources would be appreciated. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts—I totally get it. It can be really frustrating trying to figure out a new platform without instant support, especially if you’re working outside regular hours. Having a direct WhatsApp line to a real person sounds awesome, but there are some reasons why that might be tough for iFastNet and ByetHost to pull off: With so many users, having 24/7 live support would take a lot of staff and resources, which would drive up costs. Since iFastNet and ByetHost focus on keeping hosting affordable (or even free), they’d probably need to raise prices or cut back on free offerings to make something like that sustainable. Instead of live support, ByetHost leans on guides, tickets and this community forum. Your feedback about needing clearer, more in-depth guides is really helpful — I’ll pass that along. Expanding these resources might be a more practical solution that benefits everyone. The cool thing about a community forum is that users help each other out, sharing tips and insights. A lot of the challenges you’re facing might be things other users have already dealt with, so the shared knowledge here can be super valuable. Your idea for more thorough tutorials, especially on MOFH and custom setups like cPanel and VistaPanel, is spot-on. I’ll definitely pass that suggestion along; better guides could really make a difference for new users like yourself. Thanks again for sharing your feedback! It’s ideas like yours that help make the platform better for everyone over time.
