Fastniteowl
We had an discussion in another thread about SSL certs, on some of the webhosting sites you can get unlimited certs, some a few, some only 1. Quote I've tried some of the free hosting out there, and Bixa is simply the best for free webhosting, everything is good in Bixa. I even posted your website on namepros, so you can gain more users. https://www.namepros.com/threads/free-best-webhosting-right-now.1345424/ You should limit the SSL to 3 per account I think, since you can have 3 websites, and manually accept new accounts so nobody is creating a spam accounts. Best of luck, thebest hosting out there Bixa Hosting, lots of people will registrate I believe 😃 The reason I say that Ifastnet and byethost should limit the SSL certs is so the company can gain money and still be able to offer the premium service, else you cannot gain any money, it's a matter of money question. Elsewise the control panel in Myownfreehost is better than most ones out there, it has Scriptacolus and FTP etc which is awesome, if someone wanna secure more than 3 sites they should upgrade to premium so byethost can gain money and still offer free hosting, anybody agrees or disagree? Not everything comes for free, other hosts has learned this by the years. I've tested some of them, and Infinityfree is one of the best, or Spookhost or Tinkerhost if you want a stable website use one of these which are known, and not gonna be put down. Some people should be happy that they even get to host something, and that their website can succeed anyways with some limits. TinkerMan
I am very strongly against adding any more limits then need be, a website without SSL is unusable in the modern world, and limiting certificates that are free in the first place would be a huge negative, not a positive. Also, don’t DM people with your topics, we will look at it when we see it, I don’t appreciate advertisements in my inbox.

The reason I PMed you guys is because I wanted your opinion, tinkerman I can remove you from the PM list now, since you have seen the thread. SpookyKipper
Basic security should be free at no cost. Byet already does not offer certificate chains, there is a reason to upgrade already. There is also auto renewal which is a paid only feature (iFN or TH+), another reason to upgrade. And without free TLS certs many would not use the service. This is a different point entirely (and also one I disagree with). Limiting SSL certificates should NEVER EVER be done, however limiting connected domains can be done (I think this is an MOFH option if you want to do it yourself), but it just makes the free hosting platform even less usable, so strong disagree. 18 hours ago, Fastniteowl said: The reason I PMed you guys is because I wanted your opinion, Don’t ever do that again. It’s advertising. If I was a mod here I would petition to give you a final warning on the subject, with a future violation being an immediate permanent ban. It’s incredibly annoying, unwarranted, etc. just post your post and I’ll see it when I check this forum (Which is usually every other day or so). You wanted opinion. That is what the topic is for. PM'ing people just to "promote" your topic is misuse of the PM system, and can be a banned offense. 2. Having a PM list for such misuse, also can be a banned offense. Cease and desist such lists and actions. This IS your warning.
kuki
Why should anyone do this? This would only decrease the experience for the Users, if you want a limit you can always do it on your own Hosting but i dont see the point for why this should be a standard.
