A NAME Record to avoid DKIM Dilemma. Right or Wrong approach?

We've got a domain and website hosting running on GoDaddy. We've decided to migrate the website hosting to BYET.HOST and continue managing the Domain, Mail (MX) & DNS from GoDaddy.

We have two critical reasons for running our Mail (MX) Server with GoDaddy:

1. We don't want to migrate all the emails stored on the GoDaddy mail server

2. BYET.HOST does not properly handle DKIM & DMARC. For a reputable website with much email traffic it would be tragic for us to land in customers' SPAM folders. From what we see in the Fora on BYET.HOST there is no intention on bringing DKIM & DMARC support

We therefore would like to do a simple A RECORD name pointer from our GoDaddy hosted domain to our byet.host account.

We've created an A Record in GoDaddy {see attachment: 2017-10-04 12_00_26-Domain Manager.png}

and pointed it to the only IP address displayed in our byet.host account (FTP hostame: address) {see attachment : 2017-10-04 12_04_38-cPanel.png}

We then proceeded to create an ADDON domain in byet.host and got an error with 3 feasible reasons, the last being that we have to wait 24-72hrs for the info to be replicated. {see attachment:2017-10-04 11_41_28-cPanel Do...png}

I would like your help to confirm

i. We've used the right IP address: Is the IP address listed next to the label "FTP hostname:" the right IP address?

ii. Are we correct in assuming we have to create an AddOn Domain in byet.host?

iii. Are we correct in assuming the reason for the failure is the time lapse necessary for replication? (If yes, is there a tool/way to test when it has been successfully replicated and we can proceed to add the AddOn domain?

iv. Or are we doing this completely wrong

Thanks and Regards,

Jed

Hi, this is the ip address that should be used for A Record

185.27.134.226

and i don't think so without entering Nameservers you will be able to add an Addon Domain
