Freenom Domains Expired
Burke Knight replied to Parimu Hosting for Student's topic in MyOwnFreeHost General
False #2. I tested Freenom, and tested it with Softaculous. Installed Hesk Support to see how new version was, and every time tried to do something, got Chrome's warning about the domain being flagged for phishing. This was on a never used domain from them with .cf and it was flagged, due to the .cf. -
Freenom Domains Expired
Burke Knight replied to Parimu Hosting for Student's topic in MyOwnFreeHost General
Freenom domains due to their freeness, has been used for various bad uses. This means that when you use one, there's warnings that show for the visitors, stating that the domain has been flagged for phishing or viruses. Therefore, I for one, will never use them, nor visit sites that do. I also will be discussing them with the iFastNet admins, and see if they can be banned from the servers, so they don't give us a bad name. -

That's why the forum has the + sign next to the quote button. It's to do multiple quotes. -

No, this thread is NOT to raise post counts. It's for chatting and posting about different things. Do not spam the topic. Continuous posts in a row like that will result in the topic being locked, and the board being set to not do post counts. -

That would get them merged into one, but funny thing is, I don't think the forum software deducts from post counts when merged. -

I have no idea what happened to it. It's not even showing as available in the block list. Maybe Invision decided to eradicate it in the latest update. -

He was an older man, and this was the time when CD-ROMs were really just coming out. I genuinely think that he really didn't know that computers had CD-ROMs and had thought that the 3.5 FDD was still the only way to install software. However, it still show that some people never should have gotten a computer. 🤣 -

Yes, I tend to agree. My answer is not a disgusting one, but more a "Some people should not have a computer" one. When me father and I had our computer store back in the 1990's, we had a customer buy a computer, then return with it a month later. He was claiming it was not working right anymore. When we asked what was wrong, as we hooked it up so could check it out, he said: "The coffee cup holder is not working." As he pointed to the CD-ROM. -

I do hope that sometimes this topic does "change" as that is the point of it.... LOL -
1. Moved this to the correct boad. 2. When you added the domain, it should have made a new folder for the domain, which also will include its own htdocs folder. Are you certain you also uploaded to that folder?
-
Do you have free or premium hosting? If free, you need to be sure to upload into the htdocs folder.

Had that Redneck Cat image for so many years, I forgot where we originally found it. My father actually sent it to me about 15 years before he died. He said it reminded him of himself...LOL -

Normal forum rules DO still apply. No spamming the thread with multiple posts at the same time. This thread can have double posts, if for different things, but not multiple posts with just 1 or 2 words. It is to have some fun, not to cheat your way to a higher post count. If it's used for that, it will result in this board being set to NOT add to post counts. -

1. Got a new laptop recently, and was lucky to have 16GB memory and a 230GB SSD HDD. 2. Had a tooth extracted the other day, and am so glad to finally be done with that sore tooth. 3. I've been visiting here, and doing moderator work every day, even if not posting every day. So glad to see many of my friends still here and posting.
