The visits are all from one country.

Can I block that country from accessing my website using cloudflare?

You have to be extremely sure no legitimate customer will come from that country lol. That's a bit extreme IMO.

I just set up a firewall rule to block that country, but in the cloudflare events list that country hasn't shown up even though I have had lots of visits since setting up cloudflare.

I take it that will change once the updated name servers change in that country?

As mentioned, may take up to 72 hours. From personal experience it's mostly an hour or two at max, but the official range is 72hrs.

Ok, since adding the block for that country the event list already shows four blocks from that country so blocking the country seems to be working :D

I will find out soon if my analytics show any other visits from that country.

Hopefully no legitimate customers are blocked :D

So i dont think i  will get it :D

As stated, you will need to wait for it to be added automatically.

However I have a suggestion for you. Try asking if ccTLD makes a difference?
Is it easier to issue automatic SSL for regular TLDs like .com compared to ccTLD like .rr.nu (that you're using)?

I hope it doesn't really matter and you'll get your SSL ASAP!

I just enabled bot fight mode in cloudflare.

    Does it work instantly?

I've had lots of visits from the bot after setting up bot fight mode and it hasn't shown up in the firewall events list.

How did you know that this person/bot is visiting you? Did you use analytics or something else?

It's from the same country and it is a bot as I have visits all day right through the day over 24 hours

Okay, just be sure that your website is not indexed by Search Engines as it may be a visitor. Could also be a crawler bot to index your site.

To block bots from indexing your site, see https://developers.google.com/search/docs/crawling-indexing/robots/intro and https://developers.google.com/search/docs/crawling-indexing/block-indexing

To block certain IP from accessing your site, although might not work with MOFH, you can use CloudFlare and add an IP blacklist or other measures to block it.

I have a bot visiting my site multiple times every day from the same country.

How can I block this bot easily and for free?

It uses a different ip address each visit.

Hi, how are you sure it is a bot and not just a natural visitor?
Also if the IP address is different, how are you able to identify it?

Imma try to contact the dev of generatearea. I think maybe it will be able to fix it.

Client area does not have any affect with the vPanel. I've tried accessing the cPanel (vPanel) in the screenshot through https protocol, and it is not working.
So it is not about the client area, but rather the SSL configuration on the domain.

If i use https:// then it works, but i dont know why clicking control panel just uses https:// .

I think this is a problem with the control panel (generatearea) how could i fix this?

cPanel (vPanel) does work with HTTPS as you can see here https://cpanel.rf.gd/.
It is recommended you contact support at https://support.ifastnet.com/ for more information.
GenerateArea is not a "control panel" but a "client area".

    Likewise...

Seconding that! I get you want to push things fast and have set a schedule, but I think you've given too little time on beta testing!

Yea I think I'll have to add another week for beta testing

  10. TL;DR
Project LOGGED v2 is now available for beta testing. Please let me know if you encountered any issues/bugs.
    Beta release: https://github.com/PlanetTheCloud/project-logged/releases/tag/v2.0-beta
    DO NOT USE IN PRODUCTION!

Improved the design and features, as well as overral UX and setup experience. No more complicated network settings like in the 1.8 version.
Also support for translation (really), and color gradients!

    Something to say...
Project LOGGED is one of my first and longest lasting project I've ever made, spanning over a period of five years since December of 2017 where the first few versions was released. This project alone has granted me a lot of knowledge and has shaped the way I view of the web and technology for which I am very greatful to be able to work on this and have a supporting community that helped with suggesstions and feedbacks during the early days of development.

That being said, this project has have a lot of setbacks and delays. It didn't occur to me that this version (v2) is already four months in the making, although in those times I was busy with life and studies. The last release I made was v1.8.1 which was way back in January of 2021, more than 2 years ago. During the time inbetween that and this version, I've worked on version 1.9 which was later scrapped in favor of v2's simplified design, and version 3 which was also later scrapped as it is deemed too complicated and messy (although very modular) system. I apologize for the delays and setbacks. This version was actually been planned almost two years ago, and coordinated with iFastNet support staff who agreed to modify some parts of their system to suit the need of this project. I'm very greatful and thankful for their support and kindness, for providing us all with reliable free hosting.

It has also occurred to me that the scene has changed. Many projects have came out which claims to be a Client Area and are much more sought after by new members (although some are horribly flawed). I believe this is going to effect how this project is going to be developed in the future. Project LOGGED has always been designed in a such way that it is a setup-and-forget system. This design principle ensures Project LOGGED are the most easiest to setup, maintain, and secure, without the need to worry about security flaws and vulnerabilities or iFastNet's free hosting server limitations. That said, this version also have a "Save username" feature which when combined with Password Managers could provide experience similar to a Client Area without the hassle.

I hope with this, Project LOGGED will still be relevant for a while.

  11. It is with profound sorrow and regret that I must inform you all that my sole, surviving MyOwnFreeHost Reseller Account domain has been unexpectedly and unjustly taken by Freenom. Despite my diligent efforts to renew the domain annually and ensure its perpetual existence, it has been stripped from me. The domain receives minimal traffic, limited to myself and a few associates.

It is imperative that you steer clear of Freenom, especially their gratuitous offerings. The seized domain served no significant purpose beyond the testing of a certain free program I developed, and thus, enumerating them for the purpose of reclaiming by Jo is deemed unnecessary.

This post serves as a warning to others regarding Freenom and as a safeguard against any potential repercussions, absolving me of any responsibility.
