  1. @IITCenter, can you please give some insight on @BastelPichi's reply?

I dont think you actually understand how this works. You need super crazy security to become a trusted CA. (Which you dont have). Also the CCADB only stores information about the certificate, not submit it to actual browsers.

firstly I'm not the website developer of this project. secondly if you notice the clientarea is forked from Mofhr and only did a few tweaks.

How come you are not the dev but still wrote the software and can add things to the software?

Storing the certificate on a cpanel webserver doesnt seem like that to me

    Thank you!

Firstly, every time i make something new the database structure will be updated as well because i always try to bring new features and cover old problems.

Secondly, Codeigniter 4 have a different file and code structure compared to Codeigniter 3. It contains different security patches and some new features.

    Sorry let me rephrase:

Keep it as similar as possible, or provide some easy way to migrate.

    Ahyes.

And to make this sure, Xera and all of Mahtabs projects are great. Still, clickbait (in these amounts) and the rest of the stuff that is beeing done here, is simply a no-no.

    "Free logo showcase widget"

The problem with something like this is that, people actually using this tool know what they're looking for. And if I see something that tells me I won a new phone and that you're trusted by Hostinger...

Make a free SSL tool sure. But not like this.

  3. Glad to here that's in consideration, thank you for your works!

Start with the basics (GoGetSSL) and work up to more complex things.

My biggest suggestion is *please* keep the database structure the same. It's a pain to have to migrate everyone over. It would be a relief to just use the same database.

Also, if possible, please keep the code and file structure as similar as possible, to prevent having to remake a lot of links.

    Thank you!

What forum software are you using now?

You do realize, you need to have the forum software's copyright in the footer of the forum.

Otherwise, you are violating their policy, as well is iFastNet's when it comes to nulled scripts. (Copyright removal counts as nulled.)

It's Flarum, and I'm pretty sure it's open source:

The buymeacoffee.com wasn't working. Works fine now, may have been my VPN interfering. I tried turning it off and it worked fine.

WHOIS is working for me. there may just be a bug somewhere. What domain did you try?

I tried your domain, tinkerhost.net. Just tried a few other domains (google.com, office.com). Those two worked fine.

Thanks for taking the time to look over it @User51! I really do appreciate it.

    Glad to help :)!

  6. Image should probably be aligned to the right. Not sure if this is intentional or not.

    image

In the features section, the icons are not consistent in style and it's obvious they are from multiple sources across the web. Some are bolder, colored in, rounded, and have shadows, while others are made up of thin lines and have almost no color. Honestly, probably not something that matters much, and the average person will not notice it, but it stood out to me.

    image

The "domains" page could probably use some better margins and padding. Same with some elements on the homepage. Margins are a bit inconsistent. For example, on the homepage, look at the space above the FAQ vs the space above the comparison. Although this might be intentional.

On the "Friendly Terms" there is a typo somewhere. Have fun finding it!

I hope you don't mind, but I made an account with a temporary email and fake name :) You can feel free to delete the account if you want

There are some formatting issues in the welcome email.

    image

    Tinkerhost+ membership page is broken.

When attempting a WHOIS lookup, I get this error: "Socket Error 110 - Connection timed out"

On the copyright notice at the bottom: "All code, content and artistic choices ©2023." Is it really necessary to put all that? I think (c) Tinkerhost 2023 makes more sense. But maybe that's just me.

Either way, pretty solid client area! I didn't make a hosting account or anything, but it seems to be pretty good from what I see.

  8. I see the website was revamped. Definitely looks better.

Maybe add a "sign up now" below the hero?

    image

Kind of like this. (Excuse my graphic design please, that was drawn with a trackpad!)

I feel like there is now a bit more variety in colors, with the skin tone of the guy in the graphic.

I still feel like this section should have some more colorful icons, though:

    image

I still feel like some parts of the website are a little bit... bland. With iFastnet's website, for example, they have a colorful graphic right away. Their buttons and text are both green and orange. Or HostGator's website. They have their colorful alligator mascot. Their color scheme is blue and yellow.

What I'm trying to get at is, I think maybe you should at least try to find a complimentary color to blue.

Maybe it's just me though. What do you think?

Also, "Installer" is spelt incorrectly as "instalator"

Either way, big improvement to the website. Good job!

    Good to hear!

    5. This system uses same template for admin panel and user panel so you don't have to edit a file multiple times. You can also use Xera template files with some little changes.

So it shouldn't be too hard to migrate my custom-made front end.

    6. Xera doesn't have 2 Factor Verification, Self Signed Certificate and some other security patches.

Oh, I see MOPHR has some new features! 2 Factor Auth is especially good to have.

What about SitePro website builder? Is that present?

    ---

From what I take away from what you've been saying, MOFH-R isn't that big of an upgrade from Xera, Unlike MOFHY. It's more of an evolution of Xera, kind of like a "Xera 2." Am I correct in saying this?

Currently, the only one somewhat secure is Xera. However thats discontinued. No other client areas out there.

    What about BoxBilling?

@Mahtab Hassan is the only one that actually open-sourced client areas he made. His projects include HUSTAL, MOFHY, Xera, and now MOFHr. They get better with each new one (although migrating isn't fun).

Big thank you to @Mahtab Hassan 🎉

What an unfortunate ending for BoxBilling, ever since Hostinger abandoned it.

There's an old MOFH implementation made by @Hostingaj (I can't ping the new username for some reason), but I'm not sure if it still works.

I don't think it ever did. The username generated on boxbilling was different than the one you would use to sign in (prefix_123). cPanel log in never worked either.

Other than that, it successfully made an account.

Checkout our new mofh clientarea at https://github.com/mahtab2003/MOFH-R

    Ok, cool!

Thank you very much for this. I haven't really taken an in depth look yet. Few questions.

    1. Does it use the same hashing method as Xera, so user passwords don't all have to be reset

    2. Does it have protection of SQL Injections, CSRF, XSS, etc.. (all the problems that were present in MOFHY)

    3. Is it built upon a framework like Xera was?

    4. Can I just use the same database as I did for Xera, or are there some minor differences (you said they were similar?)

    5. How committed are you to this project? This is the 4th client area. I'll be having to remake the front end for the 3rd time (Hustal, MOFHY, Xera, now MOFHR)

    6. Does this have anything Xera doesn't have? Or vice-versa, is this lacking some features? I see SitePro isn't included in the readme

    7. Can you set up custom email templates?

    8. Do you need to set up a callback URL? MOFHY didn't have one and many API features didn't work (such as suspensions)

Once again thank you for the contribution! Your work gets higher and higher quality over the years, hopefully this isn't an exception!

  12. Ok, the website's not awful. But, if I'm being fully honest, it looks kind of... bland, lifeless.

As I usually do, I like to start off with the positives :D!

    1. The logo isn't awful
    2. Nice animation when hovering
    3. You didn't copy paste text, or copy-paste and change one word and pass it on as your own!
    4. The features you list actually make sense to list, and is what people are looking for

I think that many resellers here that have nice websites, have content that makes no sense to market. For example, I don't like pointing out anyone, but listing "We don't have virtual currency" makes literally no sense and nobody understands what that means other than the few people on these forums. Good job not doing that.

Ok here's my list of what could use improvements. Hope they help

    Design

    1. Looks incredibly bland. Washed out blue with white. No colors, no images, white and black vectors
    2. Bad padding underneath "Give your ideas a virtual future."
    3. Navbar items are very close together
    4. The button "Mysnowy" isn't immediately clear that it's a client area
    5. Looks like a website that hasn't been updated in years
    6. As much as I don't like comparing, I'm going to compare the website to Byet.Host. ByetHost's website hasn't been updated for a very long time either, but it still looks livelier than Snowflake Hosting. It has brighter colors, images, and accent colors (such as red for the buttons)

    Content

    1. The first 4 features you list are good
    2. After that though, you list other services you provide: Premium and Domains. To prevent clutter, I'd recommend making separate pages for these and including them on the navbar. That way, if people wanted them, they could still access them
    3. Why do people feel the need to credit the subdomain provider? There is no obligation to promote nic.ua. And, you are not "powered" by them, they only lend you a subdomain to use
    4. Same goes with "Powered by MyOwnFreeHost." Here's what I said in another post: "you don't want people to find out about it and have more competitors (unless you do!) If people truly want something like MOFH, they should find it themselves, like everyone else here did." Can you imagine how much competition everyone would have if a popular host such as ProFreeHost put that in their footer?
    5. "In current state, mySnowy registration will won't require valid email, but, we recommend you to use valid mail." Yikes, that's not exactly the most reassuring thing to see on the front page
    6. There is no copyright in the footer!
    7. If your website isn't that popular, don't add statistics. How reassuring would you feel if you signed up to Google or something and they said "We have 10 clients! Trust us with your information!" Don't get me wrong 30 registrations is great and no small feat, but, compared to other hosts, it just appears kind of untrustworthy
    8. The entire website is a single page, and there isn't a direct link to iFastNet
    9. Instead of just mentioning premium exists, why not make a page with a detailed comparison chart between plans?

    Functionality

I hope you don't mind but I created an account using a temporary email address. Feel free to delete the account from the database.

    1. I realized this while trying to make an account, but there is no obvious way to sign up! There's no "Create account" or "Get started" button. The only way to do it is to press the "Mysnowy" button (which isn't obvious), be directed to login, and press the tiny "Register" link.
    2. I NEVER GOT AN ACTIVATION EMAIL!!
    3. I was able to use the service without confirming my email
    4. I guess that's why you put the banner on your front page
    5. The affiliate link in the client area is "123456"
    6. There isn't much to say about the client area, to be honest. It's good, but bland. (Although not as bland as the main website.) It gets the job done really well. It's Xera backend, so that's expected

    OVERALL

Well, you certainly do get most information across without trying to market useless features or mentioning nonexistent features. The client area is perfectly functional (other than the confirmation email!) However, I can't stress enough that the website looks very boring. Try improving design.

Ok that took me a good half hour to write I really hope that helped.

Recurring? That's actually a really good deal. If you're already paying for a monthly iFastNet subscription, can you still apply the promo code? Or it only when you make the purchase you can apply one.

  14. I strongly suggest adding some kind of image on your front page. It doesn't have to be complex either, it could just simply be a graphic.

Just take a look at how https://aeonfree.com does it.

I can assure you that 99% of the end-users do not know, as they don't know we are resellers. They wouldn't know what MOFH even is. Even if they did know, this wouldn't care.

Literally nobody ever realized this until recently. With the upload limit, it's really difficult to reach this limit anyway.

What happens if you reach 5GB of storage? Does your account just get suspended?
