Xera not updating hosting accounts passwords in database once someone changes password

I tried Xera, and it's nice and better than MOFH-R, but the issue is that it needs some things to be working, like the password of hosting accounts; they don't update in the database to the new password once someone changes the password.

I've seen that the models in the Xera Mofh.php model file don't have the function "change password" response to update the password in the database. I think it's why it doesn't update passwords in the database once someone changes the password.

The problem is that once the hosting account password is changed and it doesn't update the password in the database, the buttons in the client area (Control Panel and File Manager) don't work anymore after changing the password.

I think it needs only to have a response in the function of changing the password to update passwords in the database (the Mofh.php file in the models directory).

Who can tell me how to change the code to have a response to update the passwords in the database once someone changes the hosting account's password?

Or is anyone here to change the code and bring me the working code to update the database once someone changes the hosting account password?

It should be getting passwords of MOFH hosting accounts and updating them in the database. Hence, it usually works, and the buttons in the client area of the Control Panel and File Manager stay working on logging in through the buttons after passwords are changed.

Is there anyone here who can help me with this problem, and how can I fix it?

Another option is to simply enforce the password from Xeras databse to cPanel. You could do this by changing the pw back on error, or changing everytime a user logs in.

Terrible idea. If the password's compromised, you'd be forcing the user to get hacked.

Xera should have had an account password change feature, though. If it has one, make vPanel's redirect to Xera. We have some scripts for that (Element and Menu Item Changer).

The original post was hardly understandable, so I've decided to go ahead and edit it a bit.

An issue could be that resellers can only see user account passwords if they log them in from the start.

Integrating a password change function in the client could be a better way around this. Otherwise, there's no possible way of finding the password of a specific account.

However, you could change the password by accessing their control panel, but this is beside the point and not what you would be looking for

The original post was Gex, said accounts Xera Mofh.php isn't any database passwords directory.

There isnt any "message" to the reseller when a user changes the password. The best way is to simply have the password change function in vPanel disabled, and use the one via Xera.

Simply option Xera's database to cPanel from Xera's vPanel password via Xera changing database to cPanel logs in. changing password simply enforce the password changing, another option.

I'm Xera when a user changes the password of MOFH hosting account (File Manager & Control Panel) client area buttons they don't work to log in directly anymore.

Does that happen even when you use Xera's change password ability?

When changing password from MOFH account's settings in Xera it works API MOFH changing the password then the user can't log in to Control Panel and File Manager from the buttons in the client area because they don't work anymore after changing password.

That's it.

Come on, someone help me to let it work the buttons in the client area after user changes account password.

How can I let it work after they change password the accounts users?

Please help me.

LOL, sorry. Like I said, I didn't understand what you said, but I think I do now. If I understood correctly, even when using Xera's update password option, the URLs do not get updated and don't work for some reason.

I don't know how I can help you. I can try looking up what they do and how they work, but I'm not very familiar with PHP. The author, as you know, has moved on to MOFH-R, so I dunno if he can help, but you can try making an issue on GitHub and see if someone from the community can help you.

My bad for taking this seriously.

How's Laura doing? (She's Hiroko in the original Japanese version, as Wikipedia says, but I knew her from the dub as Laura).

I tested changing account password from Xera, the buttons links they work with the password data in the database if I change the password in the database manually to the new password I set it goes back working.

The problem it works with the database data and once you change the password it doesn't work updating the database to the new password then the links of the buttons they don't work.

That's Xera problem. GitHub MOFH-R, it works updating the problem.

I see what you mean.

Like I said, I don't know how or if I can help. This seems like a database update issue, try filing an issue on Xera's github page over at https://github.com/mahtab2003/Xera to see if someone can find out what's causing it.

If you're going looking for a person, you've already lost.

the xera database isn't supposed to change if you change it from the vpanel because it won't know that it changed.

Yes, but @Gex said that the Xera DB does not update even when changing the password from its own settings.
