All i was saying is they were sketchy to begin with.

Ah, I see. I completely agree; they were sketchy, but for many they seemed like the only option (especially since they were the only registrar to offer actual TLDs for free and not just subdomains).

Well they are also in some other shady buissnesses - for example an "bank" for adult creators with Lots of people reporting locked Accounts and Taken Money.

    How lovely.

In there Terms and Conditions it states:

    -

    8.2 Modifications of FREE domain

By accepting this Agreement, you hereby acknowledge and agree that we, in our sole discretion, may modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the service at any part thereof, at any time with or without prior notice, including, without limitation, modification or discontinuance of advertising, content and applications appearing as part of FREE DOMAIN. You agree that we will not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of FREE DOMAIN or any part thereof.

This means that they technically reserve the right to remove the domain without warrant, even though it would be unjust.

I'm really not sure what point you're trying to make? No one claimed otherwise, but to do so is a scummy move (and one of the reasons I'm not particularly sad they're closing, feel more bad about their customers rather than them).

Everything I try to use that has been uploaded to GitHub does not work. Does anyone know why?

What do you mean? Can you share the URLs on which you're getting an issue?

I figured it out, it is throwing that error regardless of what information is entered. I just ignored it and it worked fine

    Thanks everyone!

Nice to hear it works fine! This shouldn't happen though, more investigation will be needed (I saw there were some issues about it in GitHub, but were closed either by ChippyTech or their author).

As I said, traffic equals money.

Yeah, to a post 4-5 months ago? There wasn't a need for a doublepost.

Little late but, Freenom is know to remove domains that receive traffic of any sort. So if you want to keep your domains, don’t use them I guess?

At this point, Freenom is on the verge of fully shutting down, the .ga TLD was revoked by Gabon and is now available for sale at accredited registrars, Mali also is on the process to revoke .ml from them, and I expect .cf and .gq to follow shortly, if they haven't already.

unexpected behavior.  So, renamed index1.html to indexBak1.html
    renamed default.html to index1.html
now get a dir list (no default page is active) .. so back to my original question, where in Cpanel is the default page specified?
    image.png.5ceda220b637dde19fa3a8b1db3dcb6e.png

The default file should be ideally index.html, otherwise in this server index2.html might also work (however it is not recommended as that should be reserved for the default file only).

As for where it is specified, it's not somewhere in cPanel, but rather in an .htaccess file. You can check more about how to change the default setting here:

    https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/mod_dir.html#directoryindex

Since we haven't provided you with any updates recently, there has been a new update that concerns Element Changer.

Some of you may have noticed that a commit was pushed on the first of May. Well, @MeTooIDK reported an issue where Element Changer would break if the vPanel language was something other than English. This issue was fixed by @PlanetCloud, changing the script so that it no longer searches for elements based on their appearance name, but rather on their identifier.

We have updated the documentation to reflect the new changes, and provide a list with the identifiers you'll need to update your configuration with for the elements you're changing (modifying/removing). The adding elements functionality has been left untouched.

It goes without saying, but previous configuration will break. Please update as soon as possible.

Thank you @MeTooIDK and @PlanetCloud, and sorry it took me so long to update the docs and publish the release! 😂

    Yes afs analytics.

I just noticed I have to change the name servers to cloudflare for it to work.

Do I also have to host my site with cloudflare to get their bot protection?

Cloudflare doesn't offer hosting, they just manage your DNS records. The hosting can remain the same, usually they automatically detect your DNS configuration and set it so you don't have to do anything other than changing your nameservers.

Cpanel, doesnt work Cloudflare says server down

Which cPanel? Have you tried contacting https://support.ifastnet.com about it?

From the way I'm thinking this though, it seems like you're using MOFH with Cloudflare (not recommended), and you had a cpanel record. The IP for the panel changed some time ago during migration, and you might be stuck with the old one. Check your records in Cloudflare that the record is "51.195.221.8" and not the old one.

Nope again. “Nulled Scripts” is not actually even in iFNs terms (And if I missed it, please let me know where it is).

Falls under "Warez", and I'm sure you're aware of suspensions about nulled scripts.

You're right about your forum having no such requirements however, being free and open source, so I'm sure @Burke Knight got it mixed up with another forum software.

    3. You said "doesn't always work". I assume you mean sometimes it just returns the ip of the "parent" server? If that's the case, is there any other way to accomplish what I want?

Since this answer doesn't seem to have been mentioned, you could also use a CNAME record by pointing your domain to the "Main Domain" value that can be found in the control panel's main page (on the "ACCOUNT DETAILS" sidebar), unless that value is the domain whose records you're looking to manage.

I contacted them too and that's what they told me but I still have no SSL.

You're going to have to wait for a few days, unfortunately. If you see that too many days pass (a week, for example) and it has not been fixed try contacting them again and let them know.

  13. More than that, do you have anything to start this project with? How will you be serving those files? Do you have the infrastructure to support this?

It seems absurd to me that the project has a ready backend but nothing frontend wise. Can you link to your repository/the place where the source code is currently available, since this is an open source project?

If you're familiar with a bit of frontend coding, and are specific, you could get ChatGPT to assist you with creating a frontend. Here's an example page it created for me, providing first the HTML and then the relevant CSS code:

Granted, this is a very basic page that just provides some info and has a signup button, but the end result looked very nice to me, and given that you'd likely need it for specific sections and not the entire page, it could be helpful. If you're not fond of utilizing an AI model for that purpose, however, that's absolutely understandable, and feel free to ask us for assistance.
