  1. The UI is nice and clean and has a minimalistic style. However, it may be a bit too simple. Try putting some images, graphics, or vector icons. One big flaw of the website is that, if I didn't come from this forum, I would have no clue what it is. It isn't mentioned anywhere on the website that this is a host, that it's free, etc. There's a pretty big lack of information in general, actually. And there isn't any need to have a sign up button underneath everything in the feature list. There is, in fact, more information about what you CANNOT do with Novus compared to what you CAN do. You shouldn't immediately mention that there isn't support for NodeJS or Python. Instead, just say "Novus supports PHP." It get's the point across, without making yourself look bad. You shouldn't say a word about email on your front page either. Just mention nothing about it. If you say "Mail is only in Premium" that already deters people from signing up. If you say noting about it, they sign up, and then find out THEMSELVES that email isn't supported, it's more likely they'll upgrade to Premium. There isn't really need to mention that Tor isn't supported, that's kind of common sense. Anyone trying to set up a website like that knows that ordinary shared hosting wouldn't work. The website is kind of lacking pages. It's literally one page telling you about one or two features of Novus (and some non-features.) Make some more pages giving more information, especially a Premium page. Here are a couple of nitpicks: Wow, "95367431640625 MB of free storage!" is an overwhelming number, I can't even read that. Just say unlimited, it's not even physically possible to use that much diskspace anyway, with the files limit and upload size limit. The "TOS" link belongs to the footer. Speaking of the footer... There is no footer and no copyright! This is essential to a website. A privacy policy is also missing! This is needed for any service you are providing on the web. Advertising a file manager makes no sense, it's literally expected of any host to have a file manager, because, duh. There are no margins on the sign up page. The log-in page is a bit confusing, why is there a "Time travel" button? There is some HTML code snippet in the MOFH admin panel that allows you to login from an external website, you can use that There's no way to get out of the login page There are no margins on the signup page. There is no "Premium" on the navbar' The navbar feels very empty Don't take this massive list personally, I spent lots of time writing it to give constructive feedback and help improve your website! There is something special about it, it's your host and your website :). Every free host is unique in its own way. I think that's the problem, you should spend a bit more time refining the website and improving it. I'd love to see any improvement you make to Novus! also pls dont delete this post i spend a long time thinking about and writing my posts and it kind of sucks to have it all deleted ty ;).
  2. It's not opened source or a contribution, if that's why your thanking him.
  3. A small preview (it's still in the works, so don't judge too harshly ): Next challenge: Making Retro responsive (will probably never happen... unless?) Ooh, looking great! Would it be possible to move the account and log out button to the top right, and have the Tools and Upgrade buttons on the left menu? I never attempted to customize VistaPanel myself so I have no clue what it's like, sorry if what I'm asking for is really hard or not even possible lol Either way, I love it and I'm glad you can now modernize VistaPanel a bit with Jupiter! Thank you for your hard work :).
  4. To remove a reseller domain, you need to contact iFastNet: https://support.ifastnet.com They can do it for you.
  5. GoGetSSL can be a bit slow at times. Make sure that for the CNAME records, the record does not include the domain. So if the record is: _XXXXX.yourdomain.com. Change it to just: _XXXXX And select the domain separately in the cPanel. ===== Sorry if this is an awful explenation lol, If you send screenshots of the records you inputted into the cPanel, that could help us figure out the problem.
  6. Same here. @BastelPichi, how did you do this?
  7. I hope you do not mind that I took your idea and decided to implement a demo without the need of a screenshot. The code is available at https://github.com/WybeNetwork/VistaPanel-Demo, and a live working demo under pretty much the same terms, as well as our CDN, can be seen on vpd.cdn.wybenetwork.com. Feel free to use and customize it to your liking! More pages may be coming at a later date! To @smallhost: If you feel I haven't credited you properly, let me know to update that. Looks great, I'm sure many people will benefit from this :)!
  8. Fair enough, although NameSilo is working on modernizing a bit. But, if you have the choice between modern and easy-to-use interface, why choose the old one? Thank you, I'll keep that in mind :)
  9. You're welcome! To further clarify a bit: ?i=1 is the first attempt at the security check. If failed, it goes to ?i=2, followed by ?i=3. By the third attempt if the security check is still failed, it will redirect you.
  10. There is a security check to make sure that only browsers can access your website. If that check is failed, you are redirected to https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/61416 This explains how to turn on cookies, which you may have turned off. Cookies are required for the security check to work. Javascript is also required, make sure your browser has javascript enabled. I was able to access the website on the first try. Try to clear your browser cache.
  11. Well, YouTube is a pretty good place to go if you want to see people doing stupid things. Anyway, if you really want to see someone eat a hat..... Delicious!
  12. I hope you don't think I literally meant I will eat a hat lol. It's an idom XD. It's User51 Well I didn't want to promote any hosting so I replaced the name with example, but I realize I also just promoted AeonFree 😆. Anyway, the "example" website is booomhost.com. I found it on some old, shady website.
  13. I'm also not trying to argue or anything. I just want to state my opinions. I respect both of yours too, please don't take it as a "I completely disagree with you uR aLL wRonG." I too struggle transitioning away from older designs. I love Windows 8/10 Metro design. It's been like it for a decade. And now the switch to Windows 11... Well, I'm not going to enjoy it. And also, now that Anyx has made the Retro theme available, you can use the Theme Switcher on GitHub to let users choose what they prefer. Which was the point of my previous post.
  14. The second seems like the most updated, right? Wouldn't you trust it more, it looks like it's still maintained. Except many times, they are built off of older frameworks, and it would be much easier if you just update or switch frameworks. If @Anyx can make the retro theme 100% responsive, I will eat my hat. As for the homepage, I was showing an example of old vs. new, and what people would prefer. Well, if we are talking about the vPanel, the copyright date hasn't been updated for years.
  15. To be honest, no. It's ugly, not responsive, and horribly spaced out. However, read the reply I made before Again, if your service looks dated, people will not want to use it. @duckhost.ml If you really want to use this theme, just know that: a) It's not responsive - any mobile/tablet user will struggle, and potentially leave. b) It sets a bad first impression. If you really want to use the theme, that's fine, but make sure that there are other, more modern and updated themes to choose from. And make sure it's not the default. People have short attention spans. If your site doesn't set a great first impression in the first few seconds, nobody's going to bother scrolling to the very bottom of the page and reading a copyright date. You land across these two hosts. Which would you choose? These are two iFastNet-powered hosts I found over the internet. One of them is far more popular, and for a good reason.
  16. @Burke Knightthat is true. However, if retro themes are your first impression toward the customer, they will likely leave since they think the service is no longer maintained. I agree there should be an option for older stuff, but it should be more hidden in a settings menu or something. Also, many older looks are built upon older frameworks and stuff, which might make it hard to support multiple themes. In a perfect world, there should always be a way to choose the style you want, but that's not unfortunetely possible. I also sometimes have a hard time transitioning away from stuff I'm used to. Using Paper Lantern for years, the new Jupiter theme in cPanel feels shocking to me. But, oh well, technology evolves and so should we.
  17. That's X3. It's very old and deprecated, you cannot get it back. May I ask why you want such an old and dated theme? We should be trying to make the new Jupiter theme, instead of bringing back old themes.
  18. Do you mean X3 theme? That's been deprecated for a long time. Also PaperLantern is deprecated too, it would be nice if free hosting had the Jupiter theme in the vPanel.
  19. I wish there was a way to upvote a post so you don't have to write a useless reply every time to acknowledge it.
  20. If you know how to code, you can always use some code on your end to check if the email is just a temporary email.
  21. There's only one MOFHY? It most likely is just a customized MOFHY. May I ask, where did you download this from? It's not that bad once you figure out how the files are organized. I'd reccommend trying Xera @Lordson, it's in better shape than MOPHY is
  22. You can use directory privacy to prevent access to the admin area. --- Also, there is a new client area called "Xera", which seems promising. The security vulnerabilities seem to have been patched, although we are still searching for them. There is an active forum for it at fourm.xera.eu.org
  23. https://mobile.twitter.com/securesignup They used to post on Twitter, IDK why they stopped
