Hello all,

I just set up MOFH on my new domain but I am only able to see full page ads on my site despite having cleared out my entire site directory. How the hell am I supposed to sell your service if you think my domain is just for advert parking.....? MyEasyFreeSite.Com

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Please try waiting some more time. If that doesn't help, contact support at https://support.ifastnet.com.

I'm able to log in and all, to both panels, but I have no ability to edit the content of my reseller domain it appears. I've also deleted whatever files they provided by default now as a result of thinking they were the cause of full site ads, probably not a huge deal though as I plan on testing out some of the panel options I found on the forums while waiting for my signup to process.

I think maybe a previous leasee of the domain may have used service under the byet/ifastnet umbrella

I don't think so, or if it was, it was properly disconnected.

I did a scan of the domain and what came back is pretty common when people try to connect their custom domain to their free account. The system seems to totally ignore the fact that the domain is connected, and just forward it BODIS. I have a feeling that something is wrong/buggy with custom domain support, but it only happens around 5-10% or so of the time, and I can't seem to find a pattern.

Maybe its because I registered the domain and then signed up like an hour later. Perhaps some of their systems weren't able to retrieve some information that it required due to the age of the domain and DNS propagation, just a theory though if you investigate further.

Hi there,

We have found a dns issue affecting the site loading, this has now been corrected.

Please try the following to expedite the domain coming online.

1) Close all browsers.
2) Restart your computer.
3) Restart / reboot your router (if you use a router)
4) Then try your domain.

If this fails, please allow 60 minutes then retry, this is caused by a process known as 'dns propegation' for more information on what this means please see : https://kb.ifastnet.com/index.php?/article/AA-00409/0/What-factors-affect-DNS-propagation-time-and-what-is-DNS-propegation.html

best regards

Probably not, but anything’s possible. In order for you to connect the domain, the system needs to see your namservers set, so it’s reading the domain fine. The issue is when the DNS zone is created within the free hosting infrastructure, it either never happens at all, or triggers the default setup (BODIS).

Are you using free hosting for the website?

If you are (And it appears to be that way), it looks like your domain was incorrectly added to the hosting system.

I recommend you get in contact with iFastNet at support.ifastnet.com.

How would I go about setting up DNS to allow me to externally host my main site without disrupting other features of MOFH?

If you do that, your main site cannot be used as a subdomain (which is actually recommended) and you need a new domain for that.

To do so, simply remove the byet nameservers via your domain registrar. Use their default DNS or a service like Cloudflare to point records to your externally hosted website .

Just like SpookyKipper said, that’s not really possible. You have to use byet nameservers for free hosting, since client subdomains have to be created.

The way to get around that is to have two domains. One for clients to create subdomains with (pointed to byet nameservers), and one for your homepage / client area, on a domain pointed to CF or a provider or your choices nameservers.
