luluhoste
Bonjour Quel API utilisateur me conseillez vous ? Xera ? GeneratePress ? ou autre ? Merci a vous ---trad google--- Good morning Which user API do you recommend? Xera? GeneratePress? Or other ? Thank you
TinkerMan
None of those are APIs. If you mean “what pre-built client area should I use”, I would recommend GenerateArea/Xera, even though both have their quirks.
luluhoste
Oui c'est bien un espace client pré-construit que je cherche, y a t'il autre chose que GenerateArea/Xera ? Xera est il sécuriser, sur github, il y a un message qui indique qu'il y a des failles de securité ?
luluhoste
Yes it's a pre-built client area that I'm looking for, is there anything else chosen than GenerateArea/Xera? Is Xera secure, on github, there is a message indicating that there are security vulnerabilities?

GenerateArea is somewhat maintained, and to my knowledge there arent any publically known vulnerabilitys in Xera. Id choose GenerateArea. SpookyKipper
Side note: GenerateArea's SSL feature is broken, but it is still maintained

TinkerMan
Never heard of it. You can try it, but who knows if it will work, and I don’t think anyone here uses it, so you probably won’t be able to get assistance if you get stuck.

Most applications developed for WHM wont work with MOFHs username-domain stuff. (feel free to try it tho) Edited July 10, 2023 by BastelPichi
BastelPichi
Also, looking at the URL you sent, this doesnt appear to be an client area system at all. Its an complete alternative to MOFH, which you need your own server for.
luluhoste
---trad google--- OK And between Xera and MOFH-R, which is better? And https://www.virtualmin.com/ or https://webmin.com/? it's what ? a pre-built customer area or not? Or this https://ajenti.org/ and this https://cockpit-project.org/ ... And do you know of any other pre-built client space?
TinkerMan
Xera Once again: 23 hours ago, BastelPichi said: Most applications developed for WHM wont work with MOFHs username-domain stuff. luluhoste
---trad google--- In the myownfreehost panel, there is this written: Quote To get the most of our this API you should either code your own registration script based exactly on the cPanel xml-api documentation here or integrate WHMCS with the cPanel API, you can read how to do that here So I don't see why the other WHMs I mentioned above wouldn't work... PS: does anyone use WHMCS with MOFH?

luluhoste
Rebonjour Pouvez vous m'envoyer des capture d'écran de Xera et GenerateArea, pour éviter que j'installe les deux pour voir a quoi elles ressemblent... Et aussi quel est la différence entre les deux ? ---trad google--- Hello again Can you send me screenshots of Xera and GenerateArea, so I don't install both to see what they look like... Also what is the difference between the two ? Edited July 18, 2023 by luluhoste modif
TinkerMan
They look pretty much the same. GenerateArea is just a fork of Xera. Both have their issues, but generate area is considered a bit better.

Idk 😅 What I like about GenerateArea: Having kinda useful functions like: Pricing Page Go to the Internet Archive Wayback Machine Link Button Removed the need of a username However: ChippyTech horribly broke the SSL Tool which I think it's more important than the above mentioned features. (It can be easily reverted back to Xera's implementation) At the end, the choice of it depends on your needs. If you really want and absolute want that SSL Feature for your Host, go for Xera. If you don't care about SSL and like insecurity, go for GenerateArea. If you want further support(kinda) and "active" maintenance, go for GenerateArea Edited July 20, 2023 by SpookyKipper
