It also displays a security warning when visiting the order. subdomain. And when changing the image to use https, it doesn't display

Hello everyone! Previously i saw many people moving from mofhy or any other platform to xera and were facing a few issues that can be fixed by just a few efforts. Although i created xera but i was unable to completely understand it myself and it was also built on an outdated version of codeigniter(V3) and there was a few missing features as well. So i was thinking to make a clientarea according to current user need and up-to-dated vendors. I'm going to use Codeigniter 4 with a few tweaks. So I thought ask seniors for their suggestions on what features i should add in newly build clientarea which can go a long way.

lets encrypt Is Let's Encrypt on Free Hosting still working?
andy posted a topic in Free Hosting General
Hi, there. Is Let's Encrypt still working? I tried to generate a new certificate but after a few seconds it shows the message without the generated key: Verify Its you! To prove you own the domain, create a CNAME record appropiate to the table below. Point your domain from: _acme-challenge.my.host.xyz to: Thanks- 1 reply

So I am able to get SSL via Let's Encrypt for the homepage of my web host but not for cPanel and it does not work right on the register page, can anyone help me to do get it on these other pages. I had it on other pages but it came up with an error saying my browser is not sending the right referrer information or something like that. It also said that the site was not fully secure.

man, I mean why can't you use SSL here, I have registered my own SSL certificate, then I put it here, but why is there any writing, you are not allowed to access this, it's sad for me, it's funny for a host the size of a byet ... you're big Byet, you know what I mean, and you know you want me here, maybe it's not important but yeah I'm sad

Hello, is it already possible to get a free SSL for MOFH accounts? For example, I can't verify my domain at freessl.space. Technical support tells that it is not possible on free accounts.

Hi, I was trying to get an SSL cert for my site and ran into this error while using https://www.sslforfree.com Domain "codinginthecold.byethost5.com" challenge3 failed. Response from "https://acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org/acme/chall-v3/3753378200/nExF_Q" was: Warning: Your verification URL is not returning the correct contents to our verification servers. The URL looks like it is blocking bots and which inadvertently blocks our servers from receiving the correct content. Contact your host, a professional developer or admin for further help with fixing it. There was more info after that, but it looked a bit sensitive, so I didn't include it. Previously, I had activated the SSL on byethost and generated the private and csr keys. I added the csr key to the csr field in the sslForFree generate SSL cert page. Any advice? Thanks.

Hi there, I would like to present you Free SSL Space (freessl.space). We are providing free 90 days certificates with unlimited renewals. They are issued by our partner Sectigo CA (sectigo.com), formerly Comodo CA - the biggest CA in the world. Why our certificates are better than Let's Encrypt: IDN support more compatible (99,6% devices, much more than Let's Encrypt), easy getting. A little bit more of the last point - unfortunately, it's too complicated to get Let's Encrypt on free hosting - antibot system doesn't support it. With Free SSL Space you can obtain certificates via HTTP as well, via Mail or CNAME. Last two variants are good for free hosting. Instruction on CNAME verification on iFastNet: 1. Go to your vPanel => SSL/TLS => Configure SSL => Generate Key/CSR 2. Fill the form, than copy CSR request 3. Go to freessl.space, enter your domain. 4. Tick "I have my own CSR" and paste your CSR. 5. Choose DNS method. 6. Set the CNAME record in vPanel and click Verify domain. Notice: it may not be verified from the first attempt, wait for the second one. 7. Certificate is ready, copy Your Certificate code into SSL/TLS in vPanel. 8. UPDATE: wait up to several hours - iFastnet changes your SSL not so quick. Just try it!

Hello everyone, I have the following problem, I already have an account in CloudFlare but I want to use the ssl that they provide for free in my domain, how can I do this? I do not know how can I do dns settings manually in cloudflare And when I try to do it through the Cpanel it gives me this error: "CLOUDFLARE ERROR : Sorry there was a problem activating cloudflare for this domain or the email address [email protected], this is normally caused by the email address or domain name already existing on the cloudflare system." What I can do about?

Hi, I signed up last night for the free hosting, and have migrated a couple of domains today. Just wanted to see if anyone has managed to successfully use SSL on the free hosting. I read up about the LetsEncrypt block after having issues with that, so tried Comodo's free offering instead. I've got the Comodo certificate installed which works on some browsers nicely, but am seeing issues with other browsers (including an outright refusal to visit on my phone) for security reasons. These are caused by the server only having the certificate and not intermediate ones (to link my certificate cleanly to the trusted certificates the browser holds). The server is missing these: Sectigo RSA Domain Validation Secure Server CAFingerprint SHA256: 7fa4ff68ec04a99d7528d5085f94907f4d1dd1c5381bacdc832ed5c960214676Pin SHA256: 4a6cPehI7OG6cuDZka5NDZ7FR8a60d3auda+sKfg4Ng=RSA 2048 bits (e 65537) / SHA384withRSAUSERTrust RSA Certification AuthorityFingerprint SHA256: 1a5174980a294a528a110726d5855650266c48d9883bea692b67b6d726da98c5Pin SHA256: x4QzPSC810K5/cMjb05Qm4k3Bw5zBn4lTdO/nEW/Td4=RSA 4096 bits (e 65537) / SHA384withRSA I raised a ticket with support, but just got a reply back saying "intermediate certificates are not supported on free hosting". This obviously now draws into questions whether the free package is usable, given HTTPS is a must for security (and search engines will downgrade any references without it), and I can't run a certificate on my site that results in some browsers blocking the site completely. Has anyone found a provider where Byet servers have all the intermediate certificates they needed? Jay

While researching issues with a curl script ( https://www.byet.net/index.php?/topic/2388-curl-errors/ ) I've discovered that byet Server SSL Version: OpenSSL/1.0.1e released 2013-02-11 is outdated and unsecure : ( found via phpinfo info script ) https://www.cvedetails.com/vulnerability-list/vendor_id-217/product_id-383/version_id-157548/Openssl-Openssl-1.0.1e.html Support for OpenSSL 1.0.1 ended on 31st December 2016 and is no longer receiving security updates The last 2 tickets I tried starting on ifast.net resulted in either timeout issues or failed to send... Could someone pass this along to a server admin , to see if it can be updated , ( and to see if it will fix my curl error issues )? thanks

Currently all pages are self-signed by default, and useless to say that Cloudflare doesn't quite works well with reseller hosting accounts. So, if each account is by default made secure through Let's Encrypt free SSL then it would really help the reseller admins. Best Regards, Shouvik Mitra.

It states that I need to add this From (email accounts) "mx.byethost15.com" to the mx records section, upon visiting that section it shows that my domain already has one setup by default. In fact all of the domains have a similar default mx record related to the site name. From (mx records) I added the suggested with priority of 10, now there are two listed. I do not believe that this did anything. I recently enabled cloud flare, seems like the norm. Maybe that is interfering with receiving emails? I am able to send out emails to my gmail addresses, but they come as [email protected] via freemail.byetcluster.com which looks horrid. The byet hosting mentions there is free webmail, but what I have here does not look right. So I am unable to finish, or at least test this SSL verification because unable to receive a message to inbox
